22/11/10

Period 1

We got our sketch books back and they were marked, miss stuck post sticks for us to follow so we hopefully do better in later work or ways to improve already done work. We also began the making of the shoe. We changed the design of our shoe so it could be made of slightly see through wax but this will be explained in more detail in later posts. We looked at some other non-wearable shoes and they gave me some ideas. One of them was almost persevered in a wax shoe box and this gave me the idea to have a wax shoe.

Period 2

We reviewed our campaigns and improved them. My group went and asked for our charity monster drawing to be blown up. This way we could put a big one stuck to cardboard and place it near our collection centre so that people know that they're defiantly donating to us. We also prepared a flyer to be read out in forms and an adult poster to be put up in the staff room. This poster is different to other ones as it appeals more to adults, hopefully.

Period 3

We rehearsed our performances again and showed them to the class. I think ours went well as we now all know our parts and we didn't get food thrown at us when we showed it to the class. The group leaders for the workshops with the year 2's then practiced their lessons so that they got that running smoothly. Because me and Freya aren't group leaders we used this time to make our giant Charity monster.

Overview

I feel that I got a lot done to day and with the start of the shoe and last minute changing of ideas also feel that things are really beginning to start moving. Our campaign advertising has all been completed and we are now waiting to see how many donations we get, the artifact shoe is proving more complicated than first thought so a more detailed plan is going to be need ed to make things easier, along with more health and a safety aspects.

  1. Reflecting and adapting according to the needs of the group and TIE work for Browick. All good preparation for campaign. Where are posters and analysis?
