Our campaign is trying get parents and children to give there old toys to charity. To get them to give things away we're making them feel sorry for people without toys. We're also telling them that its Christmas so they need to clear out there old toys from there house. When we go to Browick Primary we'll do a performance about giving to charity so hopefully the children will then go home and pressure there parents into giving to charity. I'm also taking part in a workshop with the primary school to get the younger children used to sharing and giving. Posters will be put up around school and leaflets will also be given out to raise awareness.Our collection centre will be in the drama hall at Lunch on the 14th of December.

How I could be the video blogger man

I'm going to plan the format for a video journal on the campaign work we've been doing.

We're going to Browick primary school and performing so I thought we could do some kind of really quick documentary on it. It could include the getting ready for the performance and then an interview with me and the people in my performance group. We could have us saying the bits we liked and then it would go to footage of us actually performing that bit. We could also do the same for bits that we didn't like. Finally have us working with the year 2's but making sure it's a bit where we're all laughing and a voice over saying whats a happening and how we all enjoyed the day.

The only bad point I can think that might happen is it may look really cheesy and I may find difficulty getting saying what I think it should look like.

Good points are that it should be easy to put together and doesn't have to be the camera on one person for to long so you won't feel to embarrassed.

Video journal

We have been learning to be modern and creative. To help us show that we learnt how to do a video journal, whether it is just talking to a web cam or videoing what we've been doing and adding it to an interview of me saying what we've been dong to give it that expert touch.

I have actually made up a video of me making a robot costume to add to the blog but unfortunately I can't seem to upload it. It would also be handy to have lots of them because I find it hard to explain what happened in writing so this would allow me to show it more clearly. It would also be more intresting than reading everything if I can get soem real footage.

Posters, Leaflets and adverts

On the 19th of October we had to make a poster, leaflet and advert for the radio and T.V. ( T.V. ad is now being preformed at Browick primary school) Our posters and leaflets have been completed and I'm currently getting the materials for a robot costume for the performance. The radio ad has been drafted as well.

   I think we worked well as a group playing on each others strengths but we could have worked a little quicker and not changed our T.V. ad to a performance half way through. I also think we succeeded at all things as we are all happy with what we've done so far and can't find any big areas to improve on.

Charity:
The Salvation army

Main message:
Based on the bible, to meet human needs in Jesus' name

Target Audience:
Anyone, especially people who feel sorry for people less fortunate than themselves. Attracts Christians as it is a christian group

Strategy:
hard hitting pictures, really trying to make you feel sorry for them. Advertising, collection boxes and groups on facebook and twitter.

Success?
Gets donations and volunteers but by being so heavily Christian they aren't getting the non-religious people and need to be different from all the other charities like them to receive more. As they are trying to help everyone it's  going to be very difficult to make the world perfect in there eyes.

Meeting people gets easier

If you've read my last post you'll know that I have a contact with Eugene from rockstar games, well I've emailed him asking if he could give me any tips on how to get ahead in the game and if I could come down and see actually what he  does in person. Great news! He's emailed me back saying that it would be fine to come down to the studio and see what happens next time I'm free and he has a cool job going on. In the mean time I have to get to grips on the software and stuff like that.

Open day at open

Today we went to open and listened to talks about careers in music, dance, performance, graphic design and animation. There were people who had different careers in each sector to tell us what it was about and how they got there. I found some more interesting than others because they were more what I wanted to do or there presentation was clearer and had pictures.

 I have luckily got Eugene from rockstar games email and I'm going to talk to him about a possible career with him or just some tips on how to be better than the rest.
