Theatre In Education (T.I.E)

As you probably know I'm going to Browick Primary to perform a play. This is theatre in education and we have already experienced this when the Tiny Giant Theatre Company performed a play on seat belt safety to us called Perfect. This play was aimed at 14-16 year olds and attempted to get us to where seat belts by telling a true story about a young girl who was involved in a car crash. They used comedy, hard-hitting tactics and multi-rolling in their play.

We could try and incorporate comedy in ours so the children don't feel like their being bombarded by pure information and enjoy it more. If we use multi-rolling it would have to be clear that we're different people, costumes would help this, but I don't think it is needed for ours and the hard-hitting tactics may not be appropriate to the age group of primary school children as we don't want them crying. Their play did help though as it gave us a professional play to work from when we where planning ours.
