Charity shops need a hand

Today we've been set the task of helping out local charity shops in Wymondham. We'll be making posters, leaflets, T.V. ad's and radio ad's to try and get people to donate better quality things to charity shops. To help us get started we watched a couple of clips from "Mary queen of Shops" staring Mary Portas. This showed us that people just donate anything they want, ranging from high quality goods and old nappies. I feel that it is shocking that people donate such low quality products, if we can show other people how shocking it is perhaps they will donate better quality products. We could do this by showing them first hand what is donated, include it in our posters or have our advert based on it. I'm going to include a link to "Mary queen of Shops" on wikipedia.

  1. Good to use link to Mary Queen of shops but you need a bit more comment on the effect the programme had on you. How you were surprised/shocked...what you would like to do in campaign. How can you use all the ideas from research to help you in campaign for your chosen charity? Which charity is it? why did you choose this one? what's their message/aim...own campaign history?
